For over 16 years, Nello has successfully negotiated employment and marketing/endorsement contracts for professional athletes in 3 different sports in 11 different countries. He originally started his player agent career representing football players in the NFL, CFL, AFL, and XFL. For the past 10+ years, Nello has focused his sports representation practice on managing, counseling, and advising Major League and Minor League baseball players. He also acts as legal advisor and counsel to amateur players who are selected in the annual MLB First-Year Player Draft, and has advised over 55 MLB draft picks over the past 10 seasons, including 5 players selected in the top 10 rounds over the past 2 seasons. Clients include NCAA All-Americans, NCAA National Champions, Team USA members, All-Star selections, and a World Series Champion!
Nello received his undergraduate degree from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN and his Juris Doctor from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, IL. His many years of experience as a successful trial attorney in Chicago provide tremendous value to clients, specifically as it relates to contracts, negotiations, settlements, and arbitration hearings. Nello is a member of several bar associations including the Sports Lawyers Association, American Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association, and the Chicago Bar Association Sports Law Committee. He is also a member of the Mount Prospect (IL) Park District Youth Baseball Advisory Committee.
