Ohio State jumped LSU for the No. 1 spot in the latest College Football Playoff Rankings that were released on Tuesday, which comes just three days after they topped now-No. 10 Penn State 28-17 in Columbus, Ohio. LSU dropped back down to No. 2, where the Tigers were positioned in the initial playoff rankings revealed by the committee on Nov. 5. The fall by LSU head coach Ed Orgeron and his team comes after they remained undefeated in a 56-20 victory over Arkansas, but College Football Playoff committee chair Rob Mullens says the drop is a result of what Ohio State was able to do in a 28-17 win over now-No. 9 Penn State.
