If the Detroit Lions have any hope of knocking off the Kansas City Chiefs Sunday, then they’ll need Matthew Stafford to have a big game.

Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford surprisingly showed up on the injury report Friday with a hip injury and is questionable for Sunday’s game against the visiting Kansas City Chiefs.
A source told ESPN’s Dan Graziano that Stafford’s issue is actually with his back; he has had problems with it in the past and it flared up again this week. The injury watch for the Lions looks like it will have some uncertainties stretching into Sunday’s matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs at Ford Field.
The big surprise is quarterback Matthew Stafford, who wasn’t listed on the injury report all week but was limited in practice on Friday because of a hip issue. Stafford is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game.
