Patrik Laine signed with the Winnipeg Jets to a two-year deal. The contract has an average annual value of $6.75MM. Laine $6MM in 2019-20 and $7.5MM in 2020-21.

The Ottawa Senators signed Thomas Chabot to an eight-year extension. Starting in 2020-21, Chabot’s new contract has an average annual value of $8MM and keep him in a Senators uniform until 2028.

The Colorado Avalanche have added some more goaltending depth, acquiring Antoine Bibeau from the San Jose Sharks in exchange for prospect Nicolas Meloche. Bibeau, who recently cleared waivers with the Sharks, will report to the Colorado Eagles of the AHL.

The Vancouver Canucks signed Brock Boeser to a three-year contract worth a total of $17.625MM. Boeser deal has an average annual value of $5.875MM.

The St. Louis Blues have added right-handed defenseman acquiring Justin Faulk from the Carolina Hurricanes. The Blues will send Joel Edmundson, Dominik Bokk and a 2021 seventh-round pick to the Hurricanes in exchange for Faulk and a 2020 fifth-round selection. Faulk signed a seven-year extension worth a total of $45.5MM, taking him off the board as a potential unrestricted free agent next summer.
