Cincinnati Reds pitcher Michael Lorenzen has made some Major League Baseball history against the Philadelphia Phillies. Lorenzen is the first pitcher to a win a game during which he also homered and played center field since Babe Ruth on June 13, 1921.

The former first-round pick pitched in Wednesday’s game. Lorenzen also played center field in the game and he hit a two-run homer in the eighth inning to secure the win for himself after blowing a save in the top of the seventh?

There are few accomplishments in baseball where a player can be the only other player to do something with Babe Ruth! Interesting stat for sure.
