JT Daniels USC sophomore quarterback  will miss the rest of the season after tearing the ACL and meniscus in his right knee during Saturday’s 31-23 win against Fresno State. Jalen Hurts passed for three touchdowns and ran for three more, and the fourth-ranked Oklahoma Sooners rolled past Houston Cougars 49-31 on Sunday night. T.J. Green Northwestern quarterback is out indefinitely and could miss the season after sustaining a foot injury that will require surgery. Green sustained the injury in the third quarter of Saturday’s season-opening loss at No. 25 Stanford, a game he didn’t start but entered after Hunter Johnson struggled. The senior was taken to a local hospital, but surgery is expected to be performed in Illinois. Aqeel Glass threw four touchdown passes, including a 20-yarder to Brian Jenkins Jr. with 3 seconds to play, and Alabama A&M beat Morehouse College 35-30 on Sunday in the Black College Football Hall of Fame Classic at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium.  Amari Rodgers Clemson injured starting receiver could play Saturday when the top-ranked Tigers take on No. 12 Texas A&M. New Mexico coach Bob Davie said he expects a full recovery and expressed gratitude to caregivers for their “swift and professional efforts” after “a serious medical incident” moments after Saturday night’s 39-31 victory over Sam Houston State in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  Tyrece Nick had a touchdown pass and ran for a score and South Carolina State picked off four passes en route to a stunning 28-13 victory over Wofford in a season opener for both teams on Saturday. Andrew Goldsmith scored on a 14-yard run in the second overtime and Bailey Fisher connected with David Gist for the two-point conversion as Tennessee Tech rallied from a 16-point deficit in the final 2:20 of regulation to stun Samford 59-58 on Saturday.  Anthony Russo passed for 409 yards and four touchdowns and Temple breezed to a 56-12 victory over Bucknell on Saturday in a season opener for both teams.  Alan Bowman passed for 436 yards and two touchdowns and Armand Shyne rushed for 125 yards and a score to guide Texas Tech to a season-opening 45-10 victory over Montana State on Saturday. Anthony Gordon‘s starting debut for No. 23 Washington State was perfect for most of the first half and nearly flawless overall. Gordon completed his first 15 passes, threw for 330 yards and four touchdowns in the first half, and No. 23 Washington State rolled past New Mexico State 58-7 on Saturday night. Tariq Thompson had an interception and a pass breakup in the closing minutes to help San Diego State beat Weber State 6-0 on Saturday night in the season opener for both teams.
