What’s New

  • Front Office Sports Huddle Series is back for our second event of 2019!  Keynote speakers are Jamie Morningstar, SVP of Ticket Sales and Service, Milwaukee Bucks and Chris Giles, COO, Oakland A’s.
  • D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser is looking to move tax revenue generated from sports betting from dedicated pots for early childhood and antiviolence initiatives and into the general fund. The proposal could cost early education and violence programs $7 million over the next four years, according to the report. The only dedicated funding that would remain part of Bowser’s proposal would be $200,000 for gambling addiction services.
  • Charles Barkley had hinted at retiring at the end of 2020 despite signing a deal that runs through 2024 back in 2015. It would be a shame to see him go but now it appears Barkley’s plans have changed. “My goal is to try to make it to 60. I turned 56 a couple of weeks ago. I think 60 is a nice round number.”
