General manager John Dorsey and the Cleveland Browns have mutually agreed to part ways Just days after firing head coach Freddie Kitchens.

Dorsey, who lost clout after his hire of Freddie Kitchens failed miserably this season, had a meeting with owner Jimmy Haslam and was asked to take a backseat to the new head of the football department, who will pair with the new head coach.

Dorsey, who went 13-18-1 in his two full seasons as GM, would’ve been more of a talent evaluator, such as a Vice President of Player Personnel

The 59-year-old Dorsey was the Kansas City Chiefs’ general manager from 2013 to 2016. He became the Browns’ general manager in December 2017 as the team was finishing an 0-16 season.
