The Washington Capitals came away with a big road win in Game Two of the Stanley Cup Final last night but a key player Evgeny Kuznetsov, was forced to leave the game early after a hip check into the boards from Vegas Golden Knights defenseman Brayden McNabb.

The Golden Knights are now only three wins away from bringing home hockey’s Stanley Cup, sportsbooks stand to lose an outrageous amount of money if that happens.

The NHL salary cap will fall somewhere between $78MM and $82MM meaning that there will be a significant increase next season.

Teams like the Los Angeles Kings, Pittsburgh Penguins, Chicago Blackhawks, and Tampa Bay Lightning were facing cap issues and likely would have been forced to shed salary.
