Dwane Casey has paid the price for the Toronto Raptors’ second-round playoff exit. The most successful coach in Raptors history was fired Friday after Toronto was eliminated by the Cleveland Cavaliers for the third consecutive season. By

The Toronto Raptors fired Dwane Casey on Friday, and the decision could impact the Orlando Magic, who are looking for a coach.

This past season, Casey led the Raptors to a 59-23 record and the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference. Casey also won the Michael H. Goldberg NBCA Coach of the Year Award from his peers. But the Raptors were swept in the playoffs’ second round by LeBron James’ Cleveland Cavaliers, and Raptors President Masai Ujiri dismissed Casey after seven seasons. By Josh Robbins
