West Virginia is building momentum at the right time. The Mountaineers have won three straight and move up to #11 in the polls. West Virginia took care of business on Monday night, defeating #12 Texas Tech, 84-74, in the penultimate game of the season.

“I think people realize how much they love this place,” said Huggins. “I’ve done a lot of senior nights over the years, and I’ve never seen two seniors get down and kiss the floor. They mean it. They absolutely love the place, love the program, and everything that goes with it.” Much of that energy came from seniors Daxter Miles and Jevon Carter. The duo combined for 39 points (13-of-24 shooting), 11 assists, four steals, and four rebounds in the game. Huggins attributed their energy and enthusiasm to the love of this program.

The Virginia Cavaliers have wins over Duke, North Carolina and Clemson. They’ve already secured the outright ACC regular-season title and probably a top seed in the NCAA Tournament.

The Michigan State Spartans finished 16-2 in the Big Ten to win their first outright regular-season league title since 2009. Should be a #1 seed in the NCAA Tournament.

The Villanova Wildcats are 3-3 in their past six games. They sport a 25-4 record with a regular season sweep of Xavier. The week finish could drop them from a top seed in the NCAA Tournament.

The Xavier Musketeers are 10-1 in their last 11 games, with that one loss coming to Villanova. As Villanova limps into the NCAA Tournament. Xavier with the same 25-4 record could get the bump to a top seed.

The Kansas Jayhawks won their 13th game against a top-50  teams on Monday and secured the outright Big 12 regular-season championship. Kansas has become the first school to ever win 14 straight league titles. A top seed in the NCAA Tournament should be ahead.
