Joe Curley has been covering college, soccer and prep sports for the Star since 2000. In addition to the Los Angeles Rams, local college, lacrosse and soccer beats, he contributes to the Star’s education and feature coverage. Curley has covered 11 Rose Bowls and four BCS national championship games and four NCAA Division I basketball tournaments for the Star. He lists the 2006 World Cup in Germany, when he covered 18 matches at 11 different venues in 30 days, as his favorite experience. He also looks forward to covering any local matchup between rivals Moorpark, Oxnard and Ventura colleges. Curley is a graduate of Pomona College and the Boston University College of Communications.
