You can rely on Shaquille O’Neal for throwing shade at Charles Barkley, but can you rely on him for legit NBA news? That’s the question after the big man told TMZ this weekend that a certain former teammate of his might be making a comeback.

Approached at an L.A. charity basketball game, O’Neal was asked if he’d consider returning to the court at age 46 to team up with LeBron James now that No. 23 is with the Lakers. After an emphatic “no, I’m done,” he turned to the camera with this:

LeBron James is now a member of the Los Angeles Lakers, as he has agreed to a four-year, $154 million deal. For those unaware of how the decision went down, they should check out this piece by the always-fantastic Lee Jenkins.

Jenkins let loose with some fantastic details in his piece, including that James made his decision as he boarded his jet for Europe. Yeah, that’s right, James agreed to a deal with a team based in Los Angeles before jetting off on a couple’s vacation to Europe. So don’t expect any big Hollywood unveiling any time soon. The Lakers, the most storied franchise in NBA history, just added arguably the most storied player in NBA history, LeBron James.

Now with 6 of the top 8 scorers in NBA history, including each of the top 3; 6 of the 13 players to win multiple MVPs; and 25 Hall-of-Famers (as for now), the Lakers now have an even greater dilemma: Who are the 10 Greatest players to put on a Lakers uniform?
