JON GRUDEN A ONE OF A KIND FOOTBALL COACH

Jon Gruden met with the media on Wednesday at the NFL Combine, in his Raiders polo — 2018 version — which still takes some getting used to. Gruden says, “I’m trying to throw the game back to 1998”.

Jon Gruden gave a hint as to his plans for Marshawn Lynch next season, but the returning Oakland Raiders coach would not fully commit to Lynch coming back to the team.

Gruden declared himself defiantly low-tech Wednesday, taking an apparent pride in his lack of interest in advances in analytics or player tracking data posted by Darin Gantt.

For all of the off-season buzz over the prospect of new Raiders coach Jon Gruden jump starting quarterback Derek Carr’s stalled career, the biggest mystery on Oakland’s offense is enigmatic wide out Amari Cooper.
